ACT Scores went up an average of 1.5 points between 2016-17 and 2017-18

Grundy County High School improved its average composite ACT score by 1.5 points in one year.  This data shows that Grundy County High School has had more improvement than any other county in the Southeast Region and surrounding counties.  The new data released last week, compares the average composite score from 2016-2017 of an 18.3 with the composite score from last year 2017-2018 which improved to a 19.8.

ACT scores are the single biggest predictor of college acceptance and scholarship awards for students.  This National test is broken into Math, Science, English and Reading; which are then combined to generate an overall composite score.  GCHS has worked hard over the past several years by offering ACT Prep courses, providing ACT practice tests to Freshman and Sophomores and celebrating student achievements concerning their ACT scores.
